Athlete Well-being & Engagement Lead - Cycling Australia Ltd
Transitions in performance sport occur at the start, throughout and at the end of an athlete’s career. Managing these inevitable transitions effectively optimises performance and critically supports the wellbeing of the athlete. Secondly, the vast majority of athletes will retire from sport and transition into a more formal career or vocation that requires skills, education and experience not always learnt while being an athlete. Evidence shows that athletes that develop plans, skills and experiences for life after sport increases their wellbeing and current performance.
