Worcester Swimming Club (WSC) is looking for a new Assistant Head Coach.  

WSC is a highly successful community-based club in Worcester, where we tailor programs for a range of abilities and try to give every swimmer the possibility to reach their potential. We currently have over 300 members in the Club, who have access to 30+ hours pool time shared across the different squads 

The Club has a very rich history of competitive success, both at team level and from individual swimmers, and we are aiming to build on that further over the next 5-10 years.

The individual who is successful will oversee a range of groups along with the opportunity to have autonomy within their work. The right candidate will work alongside the Head Coach and Executive Committee in the planning, structure, and future development of the Club.  

This role will require approximately 15 hours of direct coaching on poolside. In addition, you will be expected to provide  some support of land training and attendance at competitions around the country as required. There would also be a requirement to deal with general admin such as planning of sessions and responding to e-mails and other queries. We will require you to be in regular contact with the Head Coach to deal with any cross-squad communications. The Club will support the successful candidate with any courses or future training to enhance their coaching credentials. The position would suit someone with an ambition to become a head coach in the next 2-3 years when our Head Coach may retire.
