Reporting to the Area Manager, the Club & Competition Coordinator plays a vital role in building capacity in clubs, leagues, competitions and communities to ensure the efficient operational delivery of Community Rugby League. A key focus of the role is the creation of an environment for players of all ages and abilities to enjoy the game that promotes growth in participation numbers.
This position will have operational responsibility within the St George District Junior Rugby League.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Support, Stakeholder Management & Governance:
- Assist in the development of club, competition and referee association plans (strategic, operational, facilities).
- Support the smooth running of competitions, including structure, draws and game day operations.
- Work collaboratively with leagues on development programs and coaching development programs, supporting RISE and Tackle Ready.
- Maintain an operations manual detailing local competition rules and policies, ensuring compliance with NSWRL rules.
- Produce an annual detailed calendar of events for local clubs and competitions reporting through area, region and state channels.
- Actively support volunteer attraction, retention and deliver appropriate education for both club and league volunteers.
- Liaise with the Government Relations & Infrastructure Manager to assist the clubs and leagues in identifying grant opportunities.
