Community Engagement Coordinator - Manchester United Foundation
The Manchester United Foundation works in some of the most disadvantaged areas taking Manchester United to the heart of the community.
The Street Reds project uses the power of football to give young people an opportunity to pursue their interest in playing, leading, and coaching the game as well as supporting the participation in educational and diversionary activities.
These free sessions are aimed at young people aged 8 -18 and promote inclusivity, provide regular physical activity opportunities and the ability to feel valued as part of a group. Enriching the lives of those who might become isolated. The sessions assist in developing a range of soft skills, increasing social mobility through inter project tournaments, employment and volunteer opportunities.
The Role:
The main responsibility of the role is to coordinate delivery of the Street Reds, Reds Mentoring and other community programmes through football coaching and youth engagement activities on evening projects. Minimum expectation is to be actively working 3 evenings a week to support staff at sessions and to ensure quality assurance is maintained throughout the season.
