Provides oversight and review of accounting operations focusing on daily financial operations, revenue recognition, general ledger management, payroll, and maintaining accurate and timely financial records. The Controller manages the month-end and year-end accounting close processes, preparation for the annual financial audit and 990, and assists the Senior Director of Finance with preparation of monthly financial reports.  
 
Essential Job Functions

• Oversee general ledger and accounting functions and systems, ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements while maintaining accurate financial accounts for USA Triathlon and USA Triathlon Foundation. Prepares monthly bank reconciliations, collections, and adjusting journal entries. 
• Reviews and posts all banking, accounts receivable, accounts payable transactions, and monthly journal entries by Staff Accountants and Accounting Coordinator. Oversees the month-end closing process and general ledger reconciliations. Generates monthly reports under the direction of the Senior Director
• Provides asset and depreciation management
