As a (Senior) Data Engineer at AusCycling, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the data architecture that enables the collection, cleansing, processing, and integration of large volumes of structured and unstructured data across the organization. Your work will support data-driven decision-making within the performance pillar of AusCyling helping athletes to achieve their golden medal winning ambition. 

You will work within the Data and Intelligence department to develop scalable data pipelines, deliver an integrated data platform, and ensure reliable, timely access to actionable insights.

Responsibilities         

• Design and manage end-to-end data architecture in Microsoft Azure and Databricks.
• Build and maintain efficient ETL pipelines for structured and unstructured data by applying a Medallion architecture.
• Lead data integration from various sources including APIs, streaming data, and third-party platforms.
• Design and implement data models (using Kimball preferably).
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into data solutions.
• Guide and mentor junior engineers, developers, and interns.
• Basic understanding of data security and implementation - Azure Active Directory and security groups
