Leicester Sharks Swimming Club based in Leicester is seeking a Development Coach to join our growing team. This paid role offers the opportunity to shape our junior pathway, developing county qualifiers into future regional and national athletes within a high-standard environment.

About Leicester Sharks

Leicester Sharks Competitive Swimming Club was formed in August 2011 following the merger of Enderby Swimming Club and Lutterworth & District Swimming Club. Since its formation, the club has built a strong competitive reputation, developing swimmers who have achieved success at County, Regional, National and International level.

The Role

We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Development Coach to work closely with our Lead Development Coach in supporting the progression of our 9 to 12-year-old swimmers. The main aim for this age group will be to qualify for County Championships and shape them into our future regional and national level athletes, with strong training habits and behaviours embedded within their sessions.

The Coach will be responsible for delivering engaging and informative sessions, communicating with the coaching team regarding squad progress and assisting in facilitating the long term athletic development of all swimmers. Depending on qualifications and experience, there is opportunity to lead at least one development squad and take increased responsibility within the programme.
