Baseball NSW leads, manages, promotes, advances and encourages the growth of Baseball in NSW.

The Board of Baseball NSW comprises eight directors, five “Elected Directors” and three “Independent Directors”. The term for each Director is two years, or the balance of the remaining term in the case of a casual vacancy being filled. As a result of recent retirement of an Elected Director,

Baseball NSW is seeking Expressions of Interest from suitably qualified candidates wishing to be considered for appointment to fulfil the casual vacancy. The successful candidate will be appointed for the remainder of the current term ie until the Baseball NSW Annual General Meeting in late 2027 at which time they may stand for election.

Qualifications

General qualifications sought of Directors:

  • Qualifications in Law, Governance, Finance or Business (preferred)
  • Previous experience in a directorship role in a not-for-profit, volunteer-based organisation (preferred).
  • Knowledge of the laws and legislation relating to non-profit organisations.
  • Strong understanding and working knowledge of the constitution, rules, by-laws, policies and procedures.
