The School Sport ACT (SSACT) Executive Officer is responsible for developing and facilitating the coordination, support and promotion of the School Sport representative pathway and opportunities for ACT students at the local, regional and national level.

Strategic Leadership

• Provide strategic leadership of school sport in Government and non-government schools.
• Develop draft plans and strategies to achieve desired outcomes.
• Influence others across government and non-government organisations to promote the aims of School Sport ACT
• Be an active member of the School Sport Australia community and represent SSACT interests at National level.

Operational Management

• Ensure that the day-to-day operations of SSACT are effectively and efficiently coordinated and implemented; including SSACT officials’ appointments, coordination of SSACT Calendar of Events, coordination of representative teams, hosting of SSA events/conferences
• Maintain effective working relationships with the SSACT Council and associated committees.
• Draft policies for approval by the SSACT Council and develop procedures and guidelines for implementation
• Identify and evaluate risks to SSACT people, property, finances and image and implement measures to control risks.
