Scottish Surfing is entering an exciting new chapter, with the upcoming launch of our 2026–2029 Strategy.

To support the delivery of this ambitious new vision, we are now recruiting new volunteer Directors to join our Board and help shape the future of surfing in Scotland.

Our new strategy sets out a clear commitment to positively impact lives through surfing, strengthen our communities, protect our waves and waters, and support Scottish surfers to excel at every level. To help turn this vision into reality, we are seeking individuals with the passion, skills and experience to contribute at Board level across a range of roles.

General Directors bring insight, innovation and relevant expertise to help drive the strategic agenda of the Board. The role requires maintaining sufficient independence and understanding to constructively challenge proposals, ensuring decisions are robust, well-informed and aligned with Scottish Surfing’s purpose, values and long-term ambitions.

This is an opportunity to help shape a system that develops and maximises the potential of surfing in Scotland, across all disciplines and communities, and to ensure the organisation continues to make a positive, sustainable impact through both its sporting and charitable activities.
