British Dodgeball is seeking an enthusiastic, ambitious and forward-thinking individual with experience in Governance and/or Risk.

The role of Independent Governance & Risk is a voluntary role with all reasonable travel and subsistence expenses fully reimbursed.

Time commitment: Approximately 2-3 days per month, typically 5-6 board meetings per year.

Term: 3 years (maximum of 2 terms)

Location: England, Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales

ROLE SUMMARY - INDEPENDENT NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR GOVERNANCE & RISK

Deep understanding of corporate governance principles
Professional executive experience in governance, risk management, compliance, or audit
Experience in identifying emerging threats and proven ability to define and monitor risk appetite frameworks with long-term strategic goals
Competency in scrutinising the robustness of internal control systems and risk assurance mechanisms
