Reporting to the Chief Digital & Communications Officer, the Media Manager plays a key role in the achievement of the organisation’s strategic goals and supporting other departments through proactive media engagement, public relations and stakeholder communications.

Key Accountabilities – Media & Communications

• Media Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with media (sport and non-sport) to increase local, national, and international coverage.
• Media Partnerships: Manage relationships with SEN, Channel 7, and News Corp to ensure contract deliverables, ROI, and enhanced exposure.
• Media Enquiries: Act as the first point of contact for incoming media requests and manage reactive communications.
• Content Production: Create and distribute media releases, alerts, guides, match reports, and analytics across all Hockey Australia (HA) areas.
