Transform wind tunnel (WT) model components from their raw, 60% rapid prototype state into precise, paint-ready parts that meet exacting aerodynamic, dimensional, and cosmetic standards.

The Model Part Technician ensures all parts meet required specifications, quality standards, and deadlines before being handed over to Model Makers for final assembly and finishing.

About the Role:

The Model Shop is responsible for building and developing the 60% scale model of our F1 car ahead of wind tunnel (WT) testing. This model must accurately represent the full-size car – even a tiny surface flaw can compromise aero data.

This role is critical in bridging the gap between Additive Manufacturing (ADM), where many components are produced, and the Model Shop, where the assembled model is prepared and tested in the wind tunnel.
