Our Programs Lead Coaches sit at the centre of the SPBA development pathway. You deliver program-based sessions that build the technical, tactical and physical foundations for players coming through the pathway from Baby Sharks, Aussie Hoops to Rising Sharks.

This is a hands-on coaching role for someone who can assist in designing scaffolded programs, lead on the floor with confidence, and contribute to the broader development culture at SPBA.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver structured program sessions aligned with the SPBA development framework
• Assist in planning training plans
• Contribute to the design and progression of the Southern Peninsula development pathway
• Communicate clearly and professionally with players, parents and fellow coaches
• Support the broader objectives of SPBA's pathway programs

About You

You're an experienced basketball coach (or equivalent playing experience) with the ability to develop junior players. You lead with strong values and bring the interpersonal skills to work effectively across a diverse coaching group and member base. You hold (or are willing to obtain) a Working With Children Check, and you're available for after school and/or weekend sessions across our Peninsula venues.

Club Coaching Accreditation is desirable. A genuine commitment to inclusion, integrity and development is essential.
