
Psychology Network Lead - Australian Athletics
Reporting to the Performance Support Manager, the National Psychology Network Lead is responsible for leading and coordinating psychology delivery within Athletics nationally, in alignment with AA's key strategic priorities of:
- “Optimising performance on the day of competition” and,
- “Embedding consistent world class training environments across the nation.
Your core duties will include:
- Ensure AA, with our partners, can deliver world leading psychological support to our NASS categorised athletes, inclusive of "optimising athlete's performance on the day of competition" psychology planning.
- Liaise with AOC/PA Sports Psychologists regarding optimisation of psychology services for the 2028 LA Games for Athletics athletes.
- Provide direction, collaborate-on, review and/or implement relevant policies and guidelines for communication within the AA High-Performance (HP) network and to the broader athletics community as necessary.
- Support and guide AA HP and NIN psyschology projects.

With a deep understanding of elite performance environments, you’ll bring strong interpersonal and strategic skills to lead a national network of psychologists, shape best-practice performance psychology delivery, and drive impactful outcomes for athletes preparing for the world stage.
You will be a trusted collaborator, an advocate for wellbeing, and a key contributor to embedding world-class, consistent psychological support across our national high-performance system.
