Safeguarding Case Management Group member - British Orienteering Federation
British Orienteering is looking to grow it's Case Management Group (CMG) and are looking for experienced individuals with an appropriate safeguarding background to get in touch. Our CMG is a small committee with identified, relevant skills, knowledge, and experience of risk assessment within a Safeguarding/Child Protection environment. Its role is to initially assess and agree an immediate response to the more serious safeguarding concerns brought to the attention of British Orienteering's Safeguarding Officer.
We are looking for a wide range of perspectives with either strategic or operational management within safeguarding, child protection, or the management of interpersonal or sexual offenders. This will most likely be within a social work, probation, or policing environment, but those from other backgrounds, with the relevant skills, will also be considered.
Successful applicants would be expected to discuss relevant cases in a phone or video conference in the first instance. Face-to-face meetings is rarely necessary. It is anticipated that the role will require up to 2 hours per month, depending on workload. This is a voluntary role, but any reasonable expenses will be paid by the British Orienteering.
