Basketball England is seeking a Safeguarding Officer to support the delivery of safeguarding and child protection across the sport.

This is a key role ensuring concerns are managed effectively, supporting organisations across the game, and helping to embed a strong safeguarding culture at all levels.
Key responsibilities include:

Acting as a first point of contact for safeguarding concerns and managing cases in line with policy
Leading and supporting safeguarding investigations and case management processes
Working with statutory agencies and partners to ensure appropriate outcomes
Supporting the development and delivery of safeguarding policies, procedures and plans
Delivering training, education and engagement activity across the sport
Building effective relationships with clubs, leagues and stakeholders to support safe environments

You’ll bring experience in safeguarding, case management and working with partners such as social care, police or other agencies, alongside strong judgement, communication and organisational skills.
