Boccia is a unique sport, specifically designed to include people with significant physical impairments including the most severely affected. The sport is contested at national and international levels, having made its Paralympic debut in 1984. Most recently, it celebrated success with two silver medals at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Boccia Australia is looking for an experienced Skill Acquisition and Learning Design Lead responsible for leading and supporting the design, integration, and application of evidence-informed skill acquisition, learning design, and game-based approaches within the Daily Performance Environment (DPE).

The role will drive the development of a contemporary throwing skill development framework, support the integration of universal and class-specific principles, and enhance the efficiency and impact of tactical and technical education across coach and athlete development pathways. Working collaboratively with coaches and the interdisciplinary team, the role will ensure performance data, technology, and learning design principles are effectively embedded into planning, delivery, and review processes.
