The Scots College is seeking an energetic and passionate Casual Table Tennis Coach to deliver high-quality coaching and support the ongoing development of our Table Tennis program.

The primary purpose of this role is to develop the technical and tactical capabilities of our students while fostering a positive, inclusive, and performance-focused sporting environment. The Table Tennis Coach will deliver engaging training sessions, prepare students for competitions, and promote a culture of participation, sportsmanship, discipline, and personal growth that reflects the College’s values and expectations.

Key Accountabilities

  • Coaching & Player Development: Plan and deliver structured, engaging table tennis training sessions that cater to a range of abilities. Sessions should develop fundamental and advanced technical skills, including footwork, stroke mechanics, serve and return variations, movement patterns, and match play.
  • Technical & Tactical Development: Develop the students tactical awareness and ability to apply skills effectively in competitive environments. Prepare players for inter-school competitions through match-specific training, game analysis, and the development of individual playing strategies.
  • Competition Preparation: Support the preparation and development of Table Tennis teams for inter-school fixtures and competitions. Provide constructive feedback and encouragement to help students perform confidently and demonstrate strong sporting behaviours.
