Supervised by the Vice President of Marketing and Content, interns will assist in the preparation and execution of communications efforts for the Utica Comets and Utica City FC. Through this internship, participants will gain hands-on experience in the areas of sports communications, media relations, and digital media. 

Depending on skill level, additional opportunities may be offered in content creation (written, video, and/or graphic design) that can be showcased in a digital portfolio. 

This is an unpaid internship. Participants may qualify for academic credit if allowed by their college or university. 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Serve as a gameday production assistant for Utica Comets and Utica City FC home games, providing clear communication on statistics, game information, and production notes to broadcasters and production crew
• Set up and troubleshoot communication equipment for broadcasts
• Write, proofread, and edit written content for the Comets and UCFC websites. Content may include, but is not limited to, featured stories
• Organize and distribute press box materials (gameday rosters, statistics, game notes, etc.)
