The Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs are looking for two entry-level interns who want to learn more about handling media relations for a professional sports team. The role could entail the following responsibilities: 

• Social Media Management (Home and Away Games) – Uses pre-made graphics to provide live in-game updates during home and away games (on-site/remote) to the team’s social media followers, recording and creating content to be used on the team's social media accounts (on-site), among other duties.
• Media Relations Support (Home Games) – Will provide on-site support at home games (on-site) to photographers and other third-party media outlets as needed, as well as learn how to distribute team information to media and fans.
• Broadcasting/Reporting (Home Games) – Responsible for supporting the broadcaster during live pregame show and/or live intermission reports during the broadcast of a game, in addition to recording in-game interviews with players/coaches that can be used throughout the broadcast as needed.
